Categories Of Member
The Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD) offers four types of memberships:
Individual Membership
This category is further divided into three subtypes:- Life Member: For individuals with a lifelong commitment to the field of training and development.
- Annual Member: Those who prefer annual renewals.
- Associate Member: Specifically for students or those preparing for a career in training and development.
To qualify for Individual Membership, applicants must be at least 21 years old and hold a degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification. The National Council has the discretion to reduce the minimum age for eligibility to 24 for those already engaged in training or development roles.
Institutional Membership
This is available to organizations, including government agencies, corporate bodies, or associations, whether incorporated or not, that support and are involved in promoting the objectives of ISTD. Each Institutional Member can nominate two individuals to receive membership benefits under the basic membership plan.Associate Membership
This membership is for individuals who do not fully meet the eligibility criteria for Individual Membership but are preparing to enter the training and development field. The minimum age requirement for Associate Membership is 18 years.Honorary Membership
This membership is conferred by the National Council at the Annual General Meeting. It is awarded to individuals who have significantly contributed to the training and development field, with at least 15 years of experience. Honorary Members are chosen for their outstanding contributions and invaluable association with ISTD.
These membership categories are designed to cater to both individuals and organizations with an interest in the training and development sector.
